cruise ship charters are designed to accommodate your
time in port. By booking direct we have a little more
flexibility in your schedule.
Our
half day trip is a full 4 hours of fishing for just $125.00 per person with a
4 person minimum. You can compare this to the onboard Alaska cruise ship price
of $180.00 to $190.00 per person for the same 4 hour trip run on a tight schedule.

If
your ship's schedule permits, we
recommend a 6 hour trip at $175.00 per person with a 4 person minimum. This gives
us more time to get into the fish and will allow you to see more of Alaska's wildlife
and rugged beauty.
On one of our action filled fishing charters it
is not uncommon to see humpback whales, killer whales, porpoise, sea lions, seals,
and more eagles than you can photograph.

Your
adventure begins as soon as your ship is docked and clears customs. We have you
take a Sourdough Taxi from your ship to Knudson
Cove Marina.
(We will send you instructions for transportation in your confirmation email.)
You
will enjoy the scenic 20 minute ride north of the City of Ketchikan along the
Tongass Narrows.
Your driver is a knowledgeable local and usually offers some insight into Ketchikan's
colorful history. Sourdough Taxi eliminates a 40 minute boat ride to and from
the fishing grounds and gets you in the Strike Zone faster. Your
special Strike Zone guest rate of $35.00 each way is a savings of up to $30.
When
you arrive at Knudson
Cove Marina,
one of our experienced local charter boat captains will meet your party at the
top of the ramp. You can purchase your Alaska
fishing license and King Salmon stamp onboard as we head out to the fishing
grounds. Knudson Cove is literally 5-10 minutes from some of the best salmon and
halibut fishing in Southeast Alaska. In fact, when the King Salmon are in close
we sometimes start trolling right in the harbor.
We supply all fishing gear, bait, and tackle. We use
only top of the line equipment and our boats have
the latest electronics gear designed to find the fish.
We serve our guests a snack of smoked salmon and crackers
and also have cookies, soda, water and coffee throughout
your trip.
Processing of your catch is available dockside from Gateway
Smoke House. Your catch will be iced from the time it is caught until it is filleted,
vacuumed packed, frozen and boxed. It is then shipped to your door on the day
you specify. Shipping is standard overnight Fed
Ex, Monday through Thursday. Rates run approximately $4.50 per pound finished
weight with everything included.
For
the return trip to the Ketchikan Cruise Ship docks
you can arrange to have Sourdough Taxi meet you at
Knudson Cove at a predetermined time. You may want
to have your Strike Zone Captain call them from the
fishing grounds so they will be waiting at Knudson
Cove Marina to get you back to your ship in a timely
manner. If you have extra time in Ketchikan you can
talk to your driver about stopping at Totem
Bight State Park, Saxman Native Village Totem
Park, or any other local attractions.
